Do you offer private workshops?
Yes! We can arrange private workshops for groups, hens parties, birthdays, or corporate events. Get in touch to discuss availability, group size, and what kind of experience you’d like.
Do I need any experience to join a workshop?
No experience is necessary! Our workshops are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced makers. Our instructors will guide you step by step.
When can I collect my finished pieces?
Pieces need to go through drying, bisque firing, and glazing before they’re ready. Collection times vary, but we’ll always notify you via email as soon as your work is ready.
How long does a workshop last, and what does it include?
Most workshops are 2 hours and include all materials, tools, and instruction. For wheel throwing or sculpting sessions, you’ll also get the chance to glaze and have your pieces fired.
If I do a sculpting class, when can I come back to paint (glaze) my pieces?
Typically, you can return to paint or glaze your pieces 2–3 weeks after your initial class, depending on kiln schedules. We’ll provide instructions and booking links when your pieces are ready for the next stage.
What can I make in a sculpting (hand-building) class?
You can create anything from bowls, mugs, plates to ornaments! The instructor will guide you with techniques and ideas suitable for your skill level.
Are all the pieces food / hot beverage safe?
They sure are! All Posy Ceramics are made with food safe glaze and fired in a kiln which cooks them to a high enough temperature to make them vitreous - or for a better term hot drink/ food safe. For more detailed look at the ceramic process follow this link.
Can I put the pieces in the microwave and dishwasher?
As all Posy pieces are delicately hand made, we do encourage you to hand wash your pieces when possible. Saying this all pieces have been tested in both the microwave and dishwasher over a long period of time and there have been no issues/damage.
Do you make customise orders?
We absolutely do! We love taking your creative minds and collaborating on custom pieces. It is up to Posy Ceramics discretion what kind of pieces can be customised and we will always refuse a custom order copying another artist. Contact us if you have some ideas and we can work together creating your perfect piece!
Do you ship Internationally?
Yes. Postage is calculated at checkout and is dependant on the weight of the order and the country it is being sent to. Postage is always subject to change so please see Shipping and Returns info or check your postage at the checkout for more detailed and current info!
