Pottery Wheel Date Night - Private 2:1 Experience

Enjoy an intimate and immersive pottery wheel experience designed just for two. Perfect for couples, best friends, or anyone wanting a special creative moment, this 1.5-hour private session offers a beautifully guided introduction to wheel throwing with Emily, owner of Posy Ceramics. If you’ve been curious about pottery but aren’t ready to commit to a full course, this elevated mini-masterclass is the perfect place to begin.

What to Expect

In this focused one-on-one (well—two-on-one!) experience, you’ll learn the foundational skills of wheel throwing at your own pace with Emily’s full guidance. Together, you’ll explore the fundamentals of centering clay, opening the form, pulling walls, and shaping your vessel. The wheel takes time to master, but you will create something functional and meaningful during your session with plenty of laughter and lovely moments along the way.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll each select two of your handmade pieces to be trimmed.

After the workshop, your pieces will stay in the studio to be fired in our kiln. You can either:
• return in 2 weeks for a discounted $55 underglaze/painting session
or
• choose to have your pieces professionally glazed in one of our signature glazes and ready for pickup or shipping within 3 weeks.

You like all of your pieces you threw, no worries additional pieces can be fired for $15 each & attaching a handle or keep cup lid to your vessel is only $5!

What You’ll Make

Most first-time students create small tumblers or bowls, the perfect keepsakes from your date night. This is an introductory experience, so don’t worry about perfection; the joy is in the process, the experimentation, and the memories you make together.

Beginner Friendly

Like all Posy workshops, this session is open to all levels. Complete beginners are warmly welcomed, and those with some experience will still enjoy the personalised instruction and deeper skill refinement of a private session.
