Lesbian Clay Club - LRC X POSY

Join us for the first of many Lesbian Clay Club events in collaboration with LRC (Lesbian Run Club). This event is a safe, welcoming + non-judgemental space for queer-identifying folks and allies who want to learn basic ceramics skills run by Queer Artist and owner of Posy Ceramics - Emily. By coming together to work with clay, we practice embodiment and self-care within a new community allowing us to express our creativity while engaging in meaningful friendships. 

In this Hand Building Workshop we focus on form and texture to make your own vessel; be it a mug, vase, bowl or something, its all you baby! I will be guiding the session with instructions on how to make your own mug but you are welcome to take your own journey.

+ Lesson Length
In this 2 hour session you'll perfect your very own ceramic creation. It's fun, social and everyone will end up with a finished something (well almost finished).

You will have the option to come back in September for our Lesbian Painting Club where you will glaze your Clay creation before it’s final final to make it shiny and functional!

+ BYO
The venue is BYO so you can bring whatever bevvies (or no alc) that you'd 'like!
Cups & Cutlery provided - fridge / eski space is limited.
There is no food provided in the session but you’re welcome to bring snacks to share - we can make a communal snacking table!

Class sizes are strictly limited and you must be Over +18 to attend. 

+ What you will make
This class includes enough clay to make one large or two small creations which will then be fired and ready for you to paint in September or pick up around 4 weeks later. This class does not include the painting of your piece - if you are wanting to make and paint your own pieces more details will be provided at the event!

The pieces are functional and can be put in the dishwasher / microwave.
