Lesbian Clay Club - LRC X POSY

We’re back back back again with the first of the 2025 Lesbian Clay Club events in collaboration with LRC (Lesbian Run Club).

This event is a safe, welcoming + non-judgemental space for queer-identifying folks and allies who want to learn basic ceramics skills run by Queer Artist and owner of Posy Ceramics - Emily. By coming together to work with clay, we practice embodiment and self-care within a new community allowing us to express our creativity while engaging in meaningful friendships. 

In this Hand Building Workshop we focus on form and texture to make your own vessel; be it a mug, vase, bowl or something else, it’s all you! Emily will be guiding the session with instructions ane tips on how to achieve your ceramic creations but you are welcome to take your own journey.

+ Lesson Length
In this 2 hour session you'll have plenty of time to perfect your very own ceramic creations. It's fun, social and everyone will end up with a finished something (well almost finished).

You will have the option to come back in February for our Lesbian Paint Club where you will paint on your Clay creation with colourful underglazes before its final firing in the kiln to make it shiny and functional - microwave & dishwasher safe!

The venue is BYO so you can bring whatever bevvies (or no alc) that you'd 'like!
Cups & Cutlery provided - fridge / eski space is limited.
There is no food provided in the session but you’re welcome to bring snacks to share - we can make a communal snacking table!

Class sizes are strictly limited and you must be Over +18 to attend. 

+ What you will make
This class includes enough clay to make one large or two small creations which will then be fired and ready for you to paint in the February Paint Club or if you don’t wish to attend the paint club you can pick up your pieces around 4 weeks after the Clay Club! This class does not include the ticket to Paint Club - but you get a 50% discount if you attend Clay Club!

The pieces are functional and can be put in the dishwasher / microwave.

This workshop is located at 57 Denison St Camperdown - Posy Ceramic Studio
